How new are the RVs?

We are constantly updating our rental fleet. This ensures that we always have new, modern, and well-maintained motorhomes and campervans available for every rental season. We rent motorhomes and campervans from Eura Mobil, Karmann-Mobil, and Forster, as well as campervans from Volkswagen.

What types of vehicles do you offer?

We offer a full range of recreational vehicles. Our selection ranges from iconic camper vans (such as the original VW T6.1 California "Bulli") to fully equipped panel vans ("vans") for mobile couples, semi-integrated models for comfort-conscious couples, and family-friendly alcove motorhomes, all the way up to luxurious, truly winter-proof fully integrated models—all types and variants.

What features do the vehicles have?

All vehicles are equipped with a kitchen, refrigerator, stove, bathroom (except the VW California and M4GC GreenCamper*), heating, fresh and wastewater tanks, a cable reel and extension cord, seat belts in the living area, power steering, and a radio. Extras such as dishes, bed linens, towels, child seats, tables, and chairs are available upon request for a fee. Our VW California Ocean and GreenCamper models each come equipped with a convenient outdoor shower!

Do you also rent out trailers?

No, we do not currently rent out caravans. We offer only high-quality, newer, and well-maintained motorhomes and camper vans from manufacturers such as Eura Mobil, Karmann, Forster, and VW.

Question 5

Are there any vehicles with automatic transmission, a tow hitch, or a navigation system?

Accepted Answer

All of our campers and motorhomes—with the exception of the M1 and K3 models—are equipped with an automatic transmission. A trailer hitch is available for the M1 California (max. towing capacity 2,500 kg braked / 750 kg unbraked) and M4GC GreenCamper (max. towing capacity 1,400 kg braked / 750 kg unbraked). Since the 2026 season, it is also available on our CamperVans in the V2L and V3 groups (max. towing capacity 2,000 kg braked / 750 kg unbraked). The use of the trailer hitch for towing requires approval and is subject to a fee. All VW California models come with a built-in navigation system. The other vehicle groups generally do not include a navigation system, but by pairing an Android smartphone and/or iPhone, you can usually run your usual navigation app on the vehicle’s display. Depending on your plan, however, additional charges may apply from your mobile service provider.

Welches Mindestalter und welche Führerscheinklasse sind notwendig?

Das Mindestalter des Mieters und der Fahrer beträgt 21 Jahre. Die Führerscheinklasse 3 und C1 passt für alle unsere Modelle. Die Führerscheinklasse B reicht für Wohnmobile mit einem zulässigen Gesamtgewicht bis 3.500 kg und die Führerscheinklasse C1 erlaubt darüber hinaus auch Anmietungen von Wohnmobilen mit mehr als 3.500 kg Gesamtgewicht (Gruppen K5E, K5Q, L1). Fahrer mit Führerschein der Klasse B und C1 müssen mindestens zwei Jahre im Besitz der Fahrerlaubnis sein. Grundsätzlich darf unser Fahrzeug von jeder Person, die die o.g. Kriterien erfüllt, gefahren werden, wenn sie fahrtüchtig ist und vom Mieter des Fahrzeuges damit betraut wird. Dem Mieter obliegt die Pflicht, uns auf Verlangen Namen und Adresse der weiteren Fahrer nennen zu können.

Wird unser australischer Führerschein in Deutschland anerkannt? Brauchen wir einen internationalen Führerschein?

Für Urlauber und Touristen mit einem australischen Führerschein gelten in Deutschland klare gesetzliche Regeln: Ihr australischer Führerschein wird grundsätzlich anerkannt, allerdings benötigen Sie für Fahrten im deutschen Straßenverkehr zwingend ein Zusatzdokument. Als Tourist ohne festen Wohnsitz in Deutschland dürfen Sie mit dieser Kombination ab dem Einreisedatum bis zu 6 Monate lang fahren. Sollten Sie länger als 185 Tage im Land bleiben, begründen Sie einen ordentlichen Wohnsitz und müssen das Dokument umschreiben lassen. Die Dokumenten-Pflicht für Australier Da Australien ein Drittstaat außerhalb der EU/des EWR ist und die dortigen Dokumente nicht dem standardisierten Muster des Wiener Übereinkommens entsprechen, müssen Sie bei jeder Fahrt eines der folgenden Dokumente zusätzlich zum originalen australischen Führerschein mitführen: Einen Internationalen Führerschein (International Driving Permit – IDP): Dies ist der einfachste Weg. Sie müssen das Dokument vor Ihrer Reise in Australien beantragen. Die einzige offiziell autorisierte Ausgabestelle in Australien ist die Australian Automobile Association (AAA) bzw. die Automobilclubs der einzelnen Bundesstaaten (z. B. NRMA, RACQ, RAA). Oder eine amtlich beglaubigte deutsche Übersetzung: Falls Sie keinen internationalen Führerschein (IDP) besitzen, müssen Sie eine professionelle Übersetzung Ihres Führerscheins mitführen. Diese können Sie beispielsweise nach Ihrer Ankunft in Deutschland bei einer Geschäftsstelle des Allgemeinen Deutschen Automobil Clubs (ADAC) anfertigen lassen. Wichtig: Ihr australischer digitaler Führerschein (Smartphone-App) wird von der deutschen Polizei sowie von uns als auch anderen Mietwagenfirmen nicht als alleiniges Dokument anerkannt. Führen Sie stets die physische Plastikkarte (Photo Card) im Original mit.

What is the minimum rental period?

During the high season, the minimum rental period is 13 nights; otherwise, it is 7 nights. Exceptions apply in the case of booking gaps. (Note: We calculate the rental price on a nightly basis—as is common in the hotel industry. That is why we specify “nights.” Example: 10 days correspond to a customer-friendly 9 nights!) For last-minute requests, the minimum rental period may be waived if availability permits. Please also take a look at the offers on our website.

How does the booking process work?

After booking, you will receive a reservation confirmation from us via email. Within 10 days of making the reservation (immediately for online reservations), a deposit of €300 must be transferred to the account specified in the booking confirmation, at which point the reservation becomes binding. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of your trip. For last-minute bookings (i.e., less than 30 days before the start of the rental), the full rental price is due immediately.

How much is the security deposit?

The security deposit is €2,000 per rental and vehicle. This deposit must be paid on-site to the rental company, free of charge, using an EC/debit card or credit card (VISA, MasterCard) no later than at the time of vehicle pickup. The amount will be charged to the card and refunded by the head office as part of the final settlement upon proper return of the vehicle. For rentals of less than 23 days, the amount is generally only reserved when a credit card is used as a deposit. For prepaid credit cards and debit cards, the amount is also charged immediately.

Do I have to clean the motorhome after the rental?

The RVs are cleaned inside and out and disinfected inside before being rented out. Exterior cleaning after the rental period is included in the price. If the interior cleaning, emptying of the wastewater tank, and/or emptying and cleaning of the toilet cassette must be performed in whole or in part by the rental company upon return, the rental company will charge cleaning fees.

Can I bring my dog/cat with me?

Dogs are allowed. We ask all dog owners to cover the upholstery in the rental vehicle during the rental period. This reduces the impact on subsequent renters, who may have allergies. This also minimizes any unpleasant odors in the car. The interior of the vehicle must be thoroughly cleaned by the renter before it is returned. The renter is responsible for ensuring that the dogs are transported safely and in accordance with regulations, as well as for complying with any entry restrictions and vaccination requirements. Damage caused by pets is the tenant's responsibility. Unfortunately, cats are not allowed in our RVs to protect future guests.

Is smoking allowed in the RVs?

Please understand that smoking is not permitted in our motorhomes for insurance and fire safety reasons. If this rule is violated, we will have to charge an additional cleaning fee.

Question 19

Which countries am I allowed to travel to?

Accepted Answer

A special permit is required for travel to certain countries in Southern and Eastern Europe. The customer must have this permit issued at the time of pickup (free of charge). The following countries are approved without restriction: Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovenia, Spain, the Vatican A (free) exemption permit is required for the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, Greece, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary The following countries are PROHIBITED: Bulgaria, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Morocco, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Belarus, Cyprus Countries not listed are available upon request (e.g., Iceland, Malta).
