How new are the RVs?

We are constantly updating our rental fleet. This ensures that we always have new, modern, and well-maintained motorhomes and campervans available for every rental season. We rent motorhomes and campervans from Eura Mobil, Karmann-Mobil, and Forster, as well as campervans from Volkswagen.

What types of vehicles do you offer?

We offer a full range of recreational vehicles. Our selection ranges from iconic camper vans (such as the original VW T6.1 California "Bulli") to fully equipped panel vans ("vans") for mobile couples, semi-integrated models for comfort-conscious couples, and family-friendly alcove motorhomes, all the way up to luxurious, truly winter-proof fully integrated models—all types and variants.

What features do the vehicles have?

All vehicles are equipped with a kitchen, refrigerator, stove, bathroom (except the VW California and M4GC GreenCamper*), heating, fresh and wastewater tanks, a cable reel and extension cord, seat belts in the living area, power steering, and a radio. Extras such as dishes, bed linens, towels, child seats, tables, and chairs are available upon request for a fee. Our VW California Ocean and GreenCamper models each come equipped with a convenient outdoor shower!

Do you also rent out trailers?

No, we do not currently rent out caravans. We offer only high-quality, newer, and well-maintained motorhomes and camper vans from manufacturers such as Eura Mobil, Karmann, Forster, and VW.

Question 5

Are there any vehicles with automatic transmission, a tow hitch, or a navigation system?

Accepted Answer

All of our campers and motorhomes—with the exception of the M1 and K3 models—are equipped with an automatic transmission. A trailer hitch is available for the M1 California (max. towing capacity 2,500 kg braked / 750 kg unbraked) and M4GC GreenCamper (max. towing capacity 1,400 kg braked / 750 kg unbraked). Since the 2026 season, it is also available on our CamperVans in the V2L and V3 groups (max. towing capacity 2,000 kg braked / 750 kg unbraked). The use of the trailer hitch for towing requires approval and is subject to a fee. All VW California models come with a built-in navigation system. The other vehicle groups generally do not include a navigation system, but by pairing an Android smartphone and/or iPhone, you can usually run your usual navigation app on the vehicle’s display. Depending on your plan, however, additional charges may apply from your mobile service provider.

What is the minimum age, and what type of driver's license is required?

The minimum age for the renter and drivers is 21. Class 3 and C1 driver’s licenses are valid for all our models. A Class B driver’s license is sufficient for motorhomes with a gross vehicle weight of up to 3,500 kg, and a Class C1 driver’s license also allows you to rent motorhomes with a gross vehicle weight exceeding 3,500 kg (Groups K5E, K5Q, L1). Drivers with a Class B or C1 driver's license must have held that license for at least two years. In principle, our vehicle may be driven by any person who meets the above criteria, provided that they are fit to drive and have been authorized to do so by the renter of the vehicle. The renter is responsible for providing us with the names and addresses of any additional drivers upon request.

Is our Australian driver's license recognized in Germany? Do we need an international driver's license?

For vacationers and tourists with an Australian driver's license, there are clear legal rules in Germany: Your Australian driver’s license is generally recognized; however, you must have an additional document to drive on German roads. As a tourist without a permanent residence in Germany, you may drive with this combination for up to 6 months starting from your date of entry. If you stay in the country for more than 185 days, you will establish a permanent residence and must have the document reissued. Document Requirements for Australians Since Australia is a third country outside the EU/EEA and its documents do not conform to the standardized format of the Vienna Convention, you must carry one of the following documents with you on every trip, in addition to your original Australian driver's license: An International Driving Permit (IDP): This is the easiest way. You must apply for the document before your trip to Australia. The only officially authorized issuing agency in Australia is the Australian Automobile Association (AAA) or the automobile clubs of the individual states (e.g., NRMA, RACQ, RAA). Or an officially certified German translation: If you do not have an International Driver's Permit (IDP), you must carry a professional translation of your driver's license. You can have this done, for example, at an office of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil Club (ADAC) after your arrival in Germany. Important: Your Australian digital driver's license (smartphone app) is not accepted as the sole form of identification by German police, by us, or by other car rental companies. Always carry the original physical plastic card (photo card) with you.

Wie ist die Mindestmietdauer?

In der Hauptsaison beträgt die Mindestmietdauer 13 Nächte, ansonsten 7 Nächte. Ausnahme sind Buchungslücken. (Anmerkung: Wir berechnen den Mietpreis nächteweise – wie aus dem Hotelwesen her bekannt. Daher die Angabe in „Nächte“. Beispiel: 10 Tage entsprechen kundenfreundlichen 9 Nächten!) Wie geht die Buchung vor sich?

Nach der Buchung erhalten Sie von uns eine Reservierungsbestätigung per E-Mail. Innerhalb von 10 Tagen nach der Reservierung (bei Online-Reservierung sofort) ist eine Anzahlung in Höhe von 300,- € auf das in der Buchungsbestätigung benannte Konto zu überweisen, wodurch die Reservierung verbindlich gebucht ist. Der Restbetrag ist bis 30 Tage vor Reiseantritt zu überweisen. Bei kurzfristiger Buchung (d.h. weniger als 30 Tage vor Mietbeginn) ist der gesamte Mietpreis sofort fällig.

Wie hoch ist die Kaution?

Die Kaution beträgt 2.000 € pro Anmietung und Fahrzeug. Diese ist spätestens bei Fahrzeugübergabe mit der EC-/Debit-Karte oder Kreditkarte (VISA, MasterCard) für den Vermieter gebührenfrei vor Ort zu hinterlegen. Der Betrag wird von der Karte eingezogen und bei ordnungsgemäßer Rückgabe des Fahrzeuges durch die Hauptverwaltung im Rahmen der Endabrechnung erstattet. Bei Mieten unter 23 Tagen Mietdauer wird in der Regel bei Hinterlegung mit Kreditkarte der Betrag nur reserviert. Bei PrePaid-Kreditkarten als auch Debit-Karten wird der Betrag ebenso sofort eingezogen.

When you rent a DRM motorhome, you receive comprehensive and partial coverage with a deductible of 2,000.00 € per claim, as well as liability insurance with a flat coverage limit of 100,000.000.00 (personal injury coverage up to a maximum of 8,000,000.00 per person.) We recommend that you purchase optional supplemental insurance to cover the deductible in the event of a claim—"RV Travel Protection (including CDW)"—as well as travel cancellation insurance, if applicable. Do I have to clean the motorhome after the rental?

Accepted Answer

The RVs are cleaned inside and out and disinfected inside before being rented out. Exterior cleaning after the rental period is included in the price. If the interior cleaning, emptying of the wastewater tank, and/or emptying and cleaning of the toilet cassette must be performed in whole or in part by the rental company upon return, the rental company will charge cleaning fees.

Can I bring my dog/cat with me?

Dogs are allowed. We ask all dog owners to cover the upholstery in the rental vehicle during the rental period. This reduces the impact on subsequent renters, who may have allergies. This also minimizes any unpleasant odors in the car. The interior of the vehicle must be thoroughly cleaned by the renter before it is returned. The renter is responsible for ensuring that the dogs are transported safely and in accordance with regulations, as well as for complying with any entry restrictions and vaccination requirements. Damage caused by pets is the tenant's responsibility. Unfortunately, cats are not allowed in our RVs to protect future guests.

Is smoking allowed in the RVs?

Please understand that smoking is not permitted in our motorhomes for insurance and fire safety reasons. If this rule is violated, we will have to charge an additional cleaning fee.

Which countries am I allowed to travel to?

Accepted Answer

A special permit is required for travel to certain countries in Southern and Eastern Europe. The customer must have this permit issued at the time of pickup (free of charge). The following countries are approved without restriction: Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovenia, Spain, the Vatican A (free) exemption permit is required for the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, Greece, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary The following countries are PROHIBITED: Bulgaria, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Morocco, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Belarus, Cyprus Countries not listed are available upon request (e.g., Iceland, Malta).
