Manufacturers’ mobility guarantee
24-hour breakdown assistance
If your vehicle breaks down and you are unable to reach the garage under your own steam, it will – where possible – be repaired on the spot or towed to the nearest authorised garage, where it will be repaired.
Car hire, bus, train, taxi
If your vehicle cannot be made roadworthy straight away, you will be provided with a free hire car or a train, bus or taxi journey.
Overnight stay at a hotel
If the breakdown is not rectified on the same day and a hire car is not used, the cost of a night’s accommodation in a hotel will be covered. Please refer to the mobility publications of the respective manufacturers for details. Services must be approved by the mobility provider BEFORE they are used.
The DRM Protection Letter
Coverage under the DRM travel insurance policy
- Recovery costs for motorhomes that have broken down as a result of an accident.
- Coverage of the cost of the return journey following a vehicle breakdown – by hire car, train or plane, depending on the distance and region.
- Alternatively: an offer of a hotel stay.
- Alternatively: Provision of a hire car.
- Medically necessary repatriation is also covered.
- All services must be approved by the travel insurance policy BEFORE they are used.
